Research on animal and legend in Japan

Because, Panda represents China and this kind of animal had been made into many films. My story's theme is mostly relates to Japan, such as their costume and design. When people think of Panda and Cartoon, they directly go to Kung-Fu Panda. So, I decided to change the animal theme for the whole story and did some research on animal and legend for Japan.
